I usually got the option to download till finish and then turn off automatically pop up, when trying to turn off system mid download. Thought it was required to finish before turning off. You don't need to pause the download if you're downloading a game of the PSN.
You can just turn your PS3 off while it's downloading in the background. Heck, it'll even keep downloading while playing most singleplayer games. Learn more. Ask Question.
