However disabling all other output devices in the sound control panel sadly doesnt help, the situation remains unchanged Onboard audio works fine with the same headphones that wont work with the soundcard, same goes for a different pair of headphones.
I still like the HDMI theory though TG 02 Oct Now my problem is that I can't seem to get rid of the stereo upmix to 5. Earlier I found the culprit under the "enhancements" -tab in the audio device properties, however, now the said tab doesn't exist for my sound card.
